WHAT IS CREATIVE THERAPY?

Creative Therapy expands beyond the usual practices of Art Therapy to include other forms of creative expression and exploration.

Sessions are tailored to your individual needs & situation.

Suitable for everybody, creative therapy supports you to develop the skills and habits needed to live well as a whole & healthy human being.

Creative Therapy is a process of uncovering deeper meaning, building self-awareness and gaining greater understanding through creative self-expression and dialogue.

Sessions are supportive, client-centred counselling combined with creative expression, and may include art therapy processes, meditation, movement, voicework and earth connection practices.

Creative Therapy is non judgemental, non interpretive and non analytical. My role is to journey with you, and assist in safely navigating a path of healing and self-realisation.

Anyone can benefit from Creative Therapy. You don't need to be an artist or to have any artistic skill or ability.

The processes used in Creative Therapy allow you to access resources both within and beyond yourself to develop greater balance & wholeness.

Creative Therapy is particularly useful for dealing with stress, life transitions, understanding life purpose, developing healthy relationships, recovery from trauma, dealing with grief & loss, managing anxiety & depression, and managing long-term illness & pain.

You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees

For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes,

over the prairies and the deep trees,

the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,

the world offers itself to your imagination,

calls to you like the wild geese - harsh and exciting over and over announcing your place

in the family of things.
